May. 23rd, 2013 11:54 pmHi, I should have done this forever ago BUT BETTER LATE THAN NEVER, RIGHT...???
So Tsuna has this thing called Hyper Intuition, which has three different functions. The one pertaining to this permissions post is that his hyper intuition acts as a sixth sense and basically allows him to be something like a passive empath. For example, if a character lies to him, he'll get a ~feeling~ that there's something "off" about what they're saying, or that they're being untruthful. Another example is if your character is feeling uneasy, he may feel a bit of this emotion himself, believing the "air to be tense" or something similar. He can also sense if a character is being possessed.
He can't read thoughts, a person whose mind is "jumbled" may cause ill effects, and it only works in person, and is generally "focused on" the person whom he is actively communicating with or has his attention on, or the people nearest to him, although if they're not in his focus (such as passerbys) he won't pick up on anything unless there's a strong malicious intent.
Of course, Tsuna is just a wee boy and hasn't trained or really actively recognized his hyper intuition, so there's a good chance of him just writing the feeling off instead of listening to it, or it may be so weak it goes completely unnoticed. This may change with time, but for now, Tsuna's most likely only going to act on this feeling unless it's malicious, or if he interacts with a given character a lot over time and continues to get these feelings.
1. Is it okay for Tsuna to pick up on your character's emotions?
2. Does your character have any "mental shields" that may interfere with this ability?
3. Does your character have an unstable mind that may interfere with this ability?
4. Is there something else residing in your character's mind that Tsuna might get some emotional leakage from (I.E, the Kyuubi from Naruto, an alternate personality, and so on)?
5. Is there anything I did not think of that I should have that your character needs addressed?
If it is okay for Tsuna to pick up on your character's emotions, please try to make some hint of them in your tags-- or let me know oocly! Additionally, I might end up poking you oocly anyway for clarification. c:

Date: 2013-06-26 11:32 pm (UTC)1) Go for it.
2) Not really? The only thing that might be an issue would be Ashley's Source Blood stuff, but she's been mind-controlled in canon, so I'm saying no. Have at it, Tsuna.
3) Nooope.
4) Nope!
5) Naomi's half-Ktarian, so her brain isn't entirely human but she's not exactly hiding that. So really, knock yourself out with both of these girls. I'll usually give you everything you might need to know in their bracket tags, but if you have questions, feel free to poke me!

Yep, for all!
2. Does your character have any "mental shields" that may interfere with this ability?
Crowley doesn't have a shield, but he'd probably be able to tell if someone were rooting around in there. Maladict would definitely be able to tell, and would happily fight him out of her head.
3. Does your character have an unstable mind that may interfere with this ability?
Only when pushed, I guessss? This question is hard my characters think too much.
4. Is there something else residing in your character's mind that Tsuna might get some emotional leakage from (I.E, the Kyuubi from Naruto, an alternate personality, and so on)?
Not unless horrible undead pathogens count/
5. Is there anything I did not think of that I should have that your character needs addressed?
NOPE!
Allen Walker & Zelos Wilder
Date: 2013-06-26 11:49 pm (UTC)Zelos - yep
Allen - Yep
2. Does your character have any "mental shields" that may interfere with this ability?
Zelos - Nope, absolutely none what so ever. He even TRIED to get mental shields but uh, he really sucks at it for soul vessel reasons.
Allen - I don't think so? His amulet blocks from mind control, but nothing like empath reading.
3. Does your character have an unstable mind that may interfere with this ability?
Zelos - He may or may not have depression so idk if that counts. He's kinda crazy, but not completely psychotic way since he's still attached to reality and what not.
Allen - HAHAHAHAHAHAH. He's got the fourteenth in his head, which is described as this constant feeling of there's something gross in his head and watching. Not only that, but after he suffered a nervous breakdown at the age of 11 he kinda forced himself to have a new personality- which you know he couldn't completely wipe away his old one soooo that sometimes causes conflict. And yeah, he's kinda nuts.
4. Is there something else residing in your character's mind that Tsuna might get some emotional leakage from (I.E, the Kyuubi from Naruto, an alternate personality, and so on)?
Zelos - Uh..not his mind so much, but the cruxis crystal might give off some weird vibes because it is a somewhat sentient thing? I don't know they are so weird and I haven't read through that sidequest in a long time. Whatever souls were used to make his crystal has probably long been devoured by the crystal though, so it should only be Zelos's soul there!
Allen - YEP. He has a Noah inside his head as mentioned by the previous question. It's not...too active right now fortunately or there'd be a lot of emotional leakage. If there ever is some due to plots, I'll make sure to note them for Tsuna's sake!
5. Is there anything I did not think of that I should have that your character needs addressed?
Zelos - is a highly defensive little bitch. Be careful how you approach him about his emotions.

2. Does your character have any "mental shields" that may interfere with this ability?
Not really, nope.
3. Does your character have an unstable mind that may interfere with this ability?
He's been in Para long enough that his OMG CAPITOL RAEG is not an issue, so no!
4. Is there something else residing in your character's mind that Tsuna might get some emotional leakage from (I.E, the Kyuubi from Naruto, an alternate personality, and so on)?
Nope, just GALE.
5. Is there anything I did not think of that I should have that your character needs addressed?
Not particularly... but I figured since I tend to teal deer in Gale's emotes to begin with, you could probably have some fun with this.
I CANNOT TYPE TODAY
Date: 2013-06-27 01:25 am (UTC)2. Uh... I guess I kind of answered two up there. No actual mental shields because he's six and "normal" but when the liar believes the lie it can be extremely difficult to intuit. So.
3. Ahahaha I feel like I'm answering everything in the question above. Calvin is extremely imaginative. Highly. This is a pretty good example of his imagination. And when Calvin plays make-believe, he's not playing.
4. Nooooooooope. Maybe if Hobbes was here since he's technically an imaginary friend, but. IDK he could feel echoes maybe?
5. HAHA nope pretty sure I covered the imagination thing.
whoops i didn't fill this out gomen
Date: 2013-06-27 11:43 am (UTC)2. nope
3. nope
4. nope

Date: 2013-06-27 11:48 pm (UTC)Yep yep yep, totally cool.
2. Does your character have any "mental shields" that may interfere with this ability?
Not at all. She can't even fight back against mind control, like hell she can put up mental shields.
3. Does your character have an unstable mind that may interfere with this ability?
Not in particular, no.
4. Is there something else residing in your character's mind that Tsuna might get some emotional leakage from (I.E, the Kyuubi from Naruto, an alternate personality, and so on)?
Nope, Jane's brain is a party of one.
5. Is there anything I did not think of that I should have that your character needs addressed?
Nnnnnnnnope. Have fun, Tsuna!

Date: 2013-07-15 02:41 pm (UTC)2) Not really. Although, she tries to hide things all the time from her friends.
3) She's a bit of a hot-head, so perhaps the speed with which she can be angered might cause him problems?
4) Nope.
5) I can't think of anything either!
